The story
It is 7am, and a caregiver just clocked in at the wrong house.
Nobody catches it, because the schedule lives in one app, the clock-in lives in another, and the office is busy reconciling last week's payroll against a clearinghouse portal. Down the hall, a binder holds a certification that lapsed three weeks ago. The visit happens, but it never becomes a clean claim, the hours never match the timesheet, and the next audit is going to find the lapsed cert.
PulSe is the one system where that cannot quietly happen. It runs the whole home-care and community-health operation, schedule, electronic visit verification, clinical documentation, billing, payments, and payroll, on a single source of truth, so a wrong-house clock-in is flagged by geofence on the spot, a lapsed certification is blocked before it puts the agency at risk, and one verified visit carries itself all the way through to a paid claim and a payroll run.
The cascade
One verified visit, end to end.
This is the core of PulSe. Every other feature exists to feed or read from this chain. A single shift, once verified, flows through six stages without anyone re-keying it, because each stage hangs off the same record.
| Stage | What happens | What it produces |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule | The shift is planned with conflict detection and matched to a cleared, available caregiver. | An assigned, compliant visit |
| EVV | The caregiver clocks in by GPS inside the geofence (or by IVR), and out at the end. | Verified hours, time, and location |
| Clinical | The visit note, care-plan tasks, and documentation are captured against that verified visit. | A complete, billable encounter |
| Billing | The encounter auto-generates and scrubs an EDI 837P claim and submits it through the clearinghouse. | A clean claim, out the door |
| Payment | The ERA 835 remittance posts automatically; denials and AR-aging are tracked. | Posted payment, visible cash |
| Payroll | The same verified EVV hours drive the timesheet and the pay run, then direct deposit. | An accurate paycheck |
No double entry, no reconciliation, no gap where a visit gets billed but not paid, or paid to the caregiver but never claimed.
Care verticals
Nine-plus lines of business, one platform.
PulSe is not built for one kind of agency. It runs the distinct workflows of each care vertical side by side, so an organization can grow into new services without changing software.
DDS & IDD group homes
The deepest vertical, 46 pages, covering the developmental-disability and intellectual-disability group-home workflows that other tools skip entirely.
ABA & pediatric
Applied behavior analysis and pediatric home care, with the documentation and visit structure each requires.
Physician, rehab & wound care
Physician services, rehabilitation, and wound care, each with their own clinical encounter.
Mental health, hospice & home health
Mental-health services, hospice, and traditional home health, all on the same cascade.
Staffing & medical staffing
Workforce and medical-staffing operations for agencies that place clinicians as well as deliver care.
Telehealth & RPM
Built-in video telehealth and remote patient monitoring, so virtual care lives in the same record as in-home visits.
Scheduling
The right caregiver, in the right place, cleared to be there.
Smart scheduling across branches with conflict detection, so two shifts never collide and a caregiver is never double-booked. The schedule reads from the same compliance record as everything else, so a caregiver whose certification has lapsed simply is not offered the shift. This is the first link in the cascade, and it is where the AI schedule optimizer, Atlas, proposes assignments.
Compliance
It watches itself, and it blocks before it warns.
Certifications, training, and documents are tracked in one place, with alerts that fire before anything lapses, not after an auditor finds it. The compliance enforcer, Manka, runs continuously and cannot be disabled, so the agency does not discover it was out of compliance during the audit. HIPAA controls (audit log, MFA, RBAC, RLS, impersonation banners) sit underneath everything, and every API endpoint is rate-limited.
Electronic visit verification
Seventeen pages of EVV, so every visit is provably real.
GPS clock-in & geofencing
Caregivers clock in and out by GPS, and a geofence confirms they are at the client's location, catching the wrong-house clock-in on the spot.
IVR & manual attestations
No smartphone or no signal? Clock in by phone (IVR) or capture a manual attestation, with a full audit trail.
Exceptions
Late, early, out-of-zone, or missed visits surface as exceptions to resolve, not silent gaps.
Compliance dashboard
A live view of EVV health across the agency, so the office sees verification status before billing, not after a denial.
Revenue cycle & clearinghouse
From verified visit to posted payment.
PulSe carries a full revenue-cycle stack: EDI 837P claim generation, claim scrubbing, submission, ERA 835 remittance posting, denial management, and AR-aging. The Availity clearinghouse is live, so clean claims go out and remittance comes back into the same system that produced them. Anye, the revenue-cycle agent, runs the chain: scrub, submit, post, and work denials.
Money movement
The books, the bank, and the paychecks, all connected.
General ledger & chart of accounts
GL entries auto-post via database triggers, against a 35-account chart of accounts seeded automatically for every organization. The books keep themselves.
QuickBooks Online
Event-triggered two-way sync with retry, so PulSe and QuickBooks stay in agreement without manual export.
Plaid banking
Bank connectivity through Plaid for reconciliation and verification.
Dual direct deposit
Pay caregivers by Stripe Connect or by NACHA ACH (with encrypted bank numbers and providers like Increase, Column, and Dwolla), with a paper-check fallback. ADP and Paychex connectors are wired for agencies that keep an external payroll provider.
Note: Stripe is in test mode today, so the platform is not yet collecting live payments; the rails are built and waiting on activation.
The AI agents
Thirty-two agents, five of them take real action.
Most assistants only talk. PulSe runs thirty-two AI agents, and five of them are named Tier-3 execution agents that take real actions in the pipeline, not just suggestions.
Manka, compliance enforcer
Watches certifications, training, and documentation and blocks risk before it happens. Cannot be disabled, by design.
Anye, revenue cycle
Runs claims end to end: scrub, submit, post the remittance, and work denials.
Vault, payroll & ACH
Drives payroll and NACHA transfers. Manual by default, so money only moves when the owner says so.
Atlas & Gateway
Atlas optimizes the schedule; Gateway automates intake. Alongside them, Aza is the operational assistant and Bei is the bilingual training coach.
Owner controls
The agents work for you, never around you.
A full governance layer sits over the automation: six financial-visibility toggles control who can see what money detail, four admin-restriction toggles fence in what administrators can do, and every agent has a configurable mode and approval threshold. The default is conservative, payroll and money movement are manual unless you raise the threshold, so nothing automated ever happens without the owner having set the rule for it.
Telehealth & remote monitoring
Virtual care in the same record.
Telehealth runs on built-in video (Daily.co) with a waiting room, so a virtual visit is a first-class encounter, not a separate tool. Remote patient monitoring tracks devices, readings, and care plans, so what happens between visits is visible too, all on the same client record the rest of the platform reads.
Communication
Slack-grade, inside the platform.
Channels, threads, reactions, mentions, search, and slash commands, so the office, the field, and the on-call coordinator talk in one place that already knows who the clients and caregivers are. No separate chat app, no message that lives outside the system of record.
Built right
Multi-tenant, bilingual, and private.
- HIPAA controls throughout, audit log, MFA, role-based access, database-enforced row-level security, impersonation banners, and a 100% rate-limited API.
- English and Spanish, for a workforce that is bilingual from day one.
- Multi-tenant by design, every organization is isolated by row-level security, so one agency never sees another's data.
- Two ways in, public self-signup with a 14-day trial across five Stripe billing tiers, or a platform-admin onboarding wizard for guided setup. Sentry and synthetic monitoring watch it all.
